On behalf of the Organization Committee of G-NAOE 2024, it is our pleasure to welcome you all with warm hearts to the Global Conference on Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering 2024 (G-NAOE 2024), which will be held at Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour, Southampton, UK on 5-9 November, 2024. G-NAOE is designated as the biennial international conference to provide opportunities for communication and cooperation to actively lead the post-pandemic era with an adaption of 4th industrial revolution technology toward zero-carbon ocean among academia, research industries, classification, and authorities.

This is the second G-NAOE co-hosted by The Society of Naval Architects of Korea (SNAK) and Lloyd's Register (LR), which aims to share knowledge and recent studies on shipbuilding and marine engineering, and also to promote collaboration among academia, research institutes, industries, classification societies, and authorities. The main theme of G-NAOE 2024 is “Riding the Smart Wave for a Safer Ocean”, considering the application of smart technology and environment-friendly approaches toward the sustainable ocean in the future.

There are Plenary keynote sessions, Panel discussions, Emerging topics, parallel scientific sessions, networking seminars, receptions, Luncheons, and Banquet in G-NAOE. We sincerely hope all of our participants use this opportunity to have profound discussions on the field of naval architecture and ocean engineering and make strong friendships with our prestigious researchers as well as those in their careers.
